Property Description |
The property initially offers quite quite a bit of level land. As you walk deep into the property, it has some slope leading down to the 400' of stream frontage. An existing trail will take you to the water.
A 'wall' of foliage greets you from the entrance, but once on the property, the vegetation becomes a mixture of hardwoods with a few evergreens, creating a canopy dense enough to minimize undergrowth. It's a fairly easy piece of property to explore. It's wooded enough to offer a great deal of privacy.
Must be walked on to appreciate - you certainly won't see its potential from the road. For instance, you can't really tell how large the Carolina Beech is (pictured to the left of a trail in one photo), but we'd guess it's better than 230 years old. A slow-growing species, this is easily the largest one we've seen, and we've never seen so much trillium in one place! Just a couple of examples you'll discover...The adjacent lot is also available. |
